Climate-friendly Christmas Dinner!

Posted on by November 13, 2009 by Invited Contributor

In a changing world, we all need to change our eating habits. Now we
repeat the success from the Åland islands and take the climate-friendly
Christmas dinner to Stockholm. Klimatvänlig.nu offers, in collaboration
with Seyhmus Vegetarian Restaurant, a climate-friendly, organic and
vegetarian Christmas dinner, the 7-8th of December. There will also be
entertainment by the jazz-musician and actor Anders Linder who performs
the cabaret “Full fart mot jorden…!” (“With full speed towards the
earth…!”)

Complete X-Mas Menue

You wont miss anything on your Christmas dinnertable! You’ll be tasting
traditional dishes such as herring, ham, meatballs and Jansson’s
temptation and also a lot of new dishes such as spinach- and millet
patties and stuffed eggplant. All of it cooked organic and with vegetable
ingredients. Full menu on our site www.klimatvanlig.nu .

Why? The worlds production of meat currently accounts for 18 percent of
the greenhouse gases caused by humans and two-thirds of the most potent
GHGs cause nitric oxide. Meat production stands therefore for more
emissions than the entire transport sector.
